Short Description of Wrestlers:
Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have worked for companies such as ZERO1-MAX, ROH and TNA, where he was mostly working on their careers in a tag team known as the Motor City Machine Guns. After years of lack of opportunities in TNA, the two quit and joined ZXWWF. They defeated LAX in their debut but were then soon defeated by then tag champs, the Brothers of Destruction. The two soon debuted their new valet, Melina Perez as the team took on D-Generation X to determine the new number one contenders for the tag titles in which the Guns won. At the Nowhere to Run PPV in March 2008, they finally got their shot at the titles against LAX, where they took the win and the titles. The next month at ZXWWF Mania III, the Guns defeated LAX and the Brothers of Destruction in a triple threat tag match with the titles on the line after Sabin pinned Hernandez. Shelley, Sabin and Melina then began to feud with the team of John Cena, C-Money and Evan. The Guns won said feud, which left that team to disband. Sabin and Shelley then feuded with the team of AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels next, another feud in which they won after successfully defending their titles against them.
After holding the Tag Team Championships for 6 and a half months, they eventually lost them to Annerley Madison and Cheeka, though they were stripped of the titles not so long after that. The two had an opportunity to regain their titles at Pick your Poison, but lost out to Annerley and her new partner Chuck Williams, who won the then vacant titles. The week after, the Guns were in a number one contender triple threat tag match against the Age of the Fall (Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black) and X-Pac & Kane, where Jacobs and Black won. Sabin and Shelley then began to be somewhat stalked by newcomer Amiee Vaughan after she claimed she deserved to manage them over Melina and have since been dealing with her.
MCMG have since won back the Tag Titles from Age of the Fall in a TLC match, and had a short feud with Beer Money, Inc until they were released. Sabin and Shelley began to team with The Shift, before the two were drafted to VWA where they took on the likes of Edge and Christian and the Age of the Fall. The Machine Guns competed in 2009's Dead or Alive Champion of Champions Elimination Chamber match where Alex Shelley ultimately won the match by staying till the end and pinning Justice.
