Just thought I would sigh here openly about the lost of all 200-300+ Codebreaker codes for 06 and 08 I lost on my memory card this weekend. I can thank the PS2 for freezing during the save attempt while I was updating my archive. At least I've already got attribute and custom match hacks done already before this crap happened. I guess it'll be another 3 months before I have all of those codes manually inputted again. Double Ugh....
Anywho...'Mania results will be up at the usual time as Mayhem is up so be patient folks. I'll be honest and say some of this surprised me big time.
Also, GREAT WORK to all of those members who actually posted a promo for the big event.

which codebreaker version do you have? there is a .cbc maker floating around codebreaker.com which you can just cut and paste from CodeX or w/e you use into the program and make the process much faster. Just a thought.

The newest version that's supported by Gamestop too. If you can find it I would love to get my hands on that to save me some time.

ZX: This is the link to it: www.cmgsccc.com/downloads/index.php?item=3It says 7.0-9.3 but ive heard it works on the newer ones as well. as long as it isnt 9.3b i think it is. Either way throw a couple codes in there and try it, worth that much atleast. Candy: I think he just lost the codes for his codebreaker, the cheat device that he uses to adjust things like gender and stats. It should have no effect on the saves he has for the SvR games themselves.

ok I've always seen these at stores whether it be Wal-Mart, GameStop, ect. Now I'm going to ask a very stupid question, maybe a couple actually. First one how is it inserted into or plug into a PS2 or any modern system since the switch to CD games. Cause way back in the day I had a game shark for the N64 where you inserted the Gamershark into the 64 and then put the actual game on top of that. And second are they available for the 360 cause I thought I heard somewhere that they wanted the 360 to be hack proof or something along those lines, maybe I heard wrong.

Yeah cart systems like the N64 and still ones like the DS use a insert game into device method. Disc based systems like the PS2/GC/DC use a disc swap method that now days just uses your memory card. Basically put cheat disc in, pick codes, open tray/lid, play hacked game.
As for making one for the 360, probably not going to happen. Microsoft and Sony both made very complicated systems this time around due to the growing piracy problem in the industry. While that makes it difficult its more about how laws have changed to make it harder for companies like Datel and Pelican to release these devices to the public.
Hope that helps a little.

ZX, that blows and blows hard. I have lost saves before (for example Gran Turismo 4, 95% complete) and I can understand your pain. Let this be an example to double and triple backup things. D:
Candy, if you're planning on gettign a cheat device for PS2 (360 and PS3 don't have them yet), for codes get either a Gameshark or Codebreaker, so saves get yourself an Action Replay Max. As Annerley explains, it's all disk swap stuff. Cale and pie.

I would double backup this save but you know the more codes you have saved on Codebreaker the bigger the save block is. The one I lost was about 4,000 to 5,000kb on my memory card. Yeah half a memory worth of codes gone. I would've copied it to my other 3 cards but I have enough on there as I have games I play triple backuped on all three and compressed files of older games on all 3 so my memory is spent.
But yeah, Codebreaker AND AR Max are great for managing your saves. If you're gonna get into FPR for PS2. I say it'll save you a TON of time if you have an AR Max instead of making edits from scratch if you just want real wrestler edits/CAWs.
I seriously doubt that we'll see Codebreaker, Gameshark, and AR Max for next gen consoles, especially with everyone so crazy about playing stuff online now. That's why I'm keeping with the PS2 version of wrestling games as I can hack in what I like to be in and don't worry about some of the stupidity that goes on with playing your wrestling games legit - Ex. no way to quickly edit OVRs in 08, no way to play as all of the characters in Rumble Roses w/o hacking it in, etc.
Thanks a lot, Annerley for the link.
