Before getting into the world of wrestling Rosa Mendes was a model. In the summer of 2006, she participated in the WWE Diva Search and was placed fourth. After being WWE eliminated she signed a developmental contract with the company. Rosa worked in OVW managing "Bad Kompany". Before WWE ended their relationship with OVW, Rosa held the OVW Women's Championship. Later she worked in FCW
"Glamazon In Training"
On the November 24, 2008 RAW, Rosa appeared in the crowd holding a sign proclaiming she was Beth Phoenix's number one fan. For a few weeks after that she was continually shown in the crowd holding signs supporting Phoenix. Santino Marella later introduced her as "Rosa Mendes", and the following week, Mendes jumped from the crowd and attacked the new number one contender, Melina, to help Beth during a fight. Soon after evading her ban from WWE events she was signed as Beth's intern.
ECW and Zack Ryder
On October 12, 2009, Rosa Mendes had been traded from Raw to ECW. She was shown talking to ECW General Manager Tiffany on October 20. Rosa later became the girlfriend of Zack Ryder.
VWA
In December 2009 Rosa Mendes signed a contract with ZXWWF and became an interviewer on the VWA brand. Soon she began managing her boyfriend Zack Ryder who signed a contract with VWA. Later Zack left ZXWWF and secretly dumped Rosa.
